So, unless classed as a Key Worker, we are all staying home for the foreseeable. At the time of writing this post we are still allowed out for necessary errands and exercise – I pray that the ignorant don’t cause this freedom to be taken away from us… but I feel it’s on the cards.
In a short space of time, so much has changed. New phrases ‘social distancing’ and ‘social isolation’ have entered our vocabulary and become commonplace. Our homes have become a hive of activity as we combine home schooling with working from home.
Setting the unbelievable threat to our health system, economy and livelihoods aside, I am relishing the enforced quarantine at this present time. It’s important to look at the positives; and having nowhere to ‘be’ other than at home with my family is a delicious treat. I feel as if I have been given the gift of time. I hope that at the end of it all we emerge more grounded, appreciative and with new perspective.
In terms of what to wear; it has to be comfortable but not sloppy. That would do nothing for my mental state. Some days I choose to get more dressed-up but mainly I’m opting for easy-to-wear outfits that allow me to work comfortably and incorporate my daily exercise too.
Asquith offer not only fantastic sustainable yoga clothes but also stylish and ethical activewear pieces.
The Mellow Dark Hoody and matching Drawstring Pants are super stylish and comfortable. The incredibly soft material made from bamboo viscose is ideal for both relaxing and working from home and if I need to pop out, I’ll just throw a biker jacket over the top.
Colour is important to keep my spirits lifted so I chose the Embrace Tee in my favourite emerald green to compliment this outfit. It’s perfect for my daily dose of yoga too!
I hope you are managing to adapt to our temporary new lifestyle. Stay well and positive!
