Today marks 8 years since my Mum passed away after Today marks 8 years since my Mum passed away after a long battle with secondary breast cancer. And as it’s National Grief Awareness Week, I wanted to send the biggest hug to anyone struggling with grief at this time of year. Christmas is a tough time for anyone who has lost someone close. The absence is even more acute and painful. Please know that it’s ok to grieve, to hide away and to cry - do whatever you need to do. Everyone is different. Hold on to the memories. Strive on. Smart-casual is my favoutite way to wear sequins 🙌🤩 This is I wore on Friday night to @fash_reboot - it was so busy from start to finish & I didn’t get any pics! This event has gone from strength to strength - started several years ago by @erica_davies & @ciaraelliott - and this was the busiest yet!!! Follow @fash_reboot to be notified of the next event. Lots of you have asked for clothing recommendation Lots of you have asked for clothing recommendations for New York at this time of year, so here’s a roundup of the outfits I wore - they won’t win any fashion awards ☺️ but I felt comfortable, warm and style-appropriate ✌️ 1. I relied on casual layers. A chunky knit and a shearling jacket with a base layer kept me warm most days (see no.4) 2. Comfortable, walking footwear is a must. I took my comfiest trainers. These are from @wushuofficial 3. My faux leather trousers and chunky boots also served me well. Along with this denim shacket l from @arketofficial which was great for layering. 4. This was the coldest day, and I had to borrow my son’s puffer coat 🥶 Definitely take a warm coat as the temperatures change drastically from day to day! 5. A hat was an absolute necessity, and I wish I’d taken another one as I wore this hat from @arketofficial everyday. 6. I travelled in a cashmere jogger set from @brodiecashmereofficial . This is not the greatest picture 🙈 but I will feature more on long-haul-flight style very soon. 7. And finally, here’s what I purchased in the NY BF sales - Jeans @7forallmankind Blazers @nike NB 574 Stracked @newbalance 🛍️ #clairehallstyle #newyorkstyle #newyorkinnovember

2023 was a year of milestone birthdays for the Hal 2023 was a year of milestone birthdays for the Halls - so we went to New York to celebrate 50th, 18th & 16th birthdays 🤩🎉🍎 New York was everthing I imagined it to be!
